When running a duct doesn't make sense.
A mini-split is an outdoor unit connected to one or more wall-mounted indoor units by a small line set, so there's no ductwork to run. It cools and heats, it's quiet, and each indoor unit has its own control.
They're the right answer for spaces the main system was never built for: a converted garage, a workshop, a new addition, a room over the garage, or a bedroom at the far end of the house that's always five degrees off. They're also the way to finally get rid of a window unit.
We'll look at the space, size the system to it, and give you the price before anything is ordered. Already have a mini-split that isn't cooling, is leaking water or is throwing a code? We service those too.

Mini-split questions
Can a mini-split heat as well as cool?
Yes. Most mini-splits are heat pumps, so they cool in the summer and heat in the winter, which covers the Coastal Bend's short cold snaps easily.
Do mini-splits work in a garage?
Yes, and they're one of the most common uses. Insulation and the garage door make a difference in sizing, so we'll look at the space first.
Do you install mini-splits in place of window units?
Yes. We don't service window units, but replacing one with a mini-split is one of the best upgrades for a room that only had a window unit.
My mini-split is leaking water inside. Why?
Usually the condensate drain is clogged or the line isn't sloped right, and on the coast that drain works hard. Turn it off and give us a call.
